We are situated at the top of the Rhondda Fawr (the Big Valley) in an area that was once dominated my the coal mining industry. With the closure of the mines the area has regenerated itself into a green, forested area of outstanding natural beauty. Being at the top of the Rhondda means that we are within a twenty mile radius of the cities of Cardiff and Swansea as well as on the fringe of the Brecon Beacons National Park.

The Clubhouse is an old Miners Institute on Wyndham Street, Tynewydd ( a small hamlet beyond Treherbert)

The Rugby Field is known as Tynewydd R.M. Park and is situated at the bottom of the Rhigos Road (the main road out of the valley towards Brecon) on the edge of the village of Treherbert, it is a local Council owned and maintained field.

Teams
The club is currently split into two section for administration purposes, Senior Section and Mini section. The senior section runs all rugby from 15 year of age upwards, this comprises of 1st XV, 2nd XV, Youth, Under 16’s and Under 15’s. The mini section runs sides from under 8’s to under 14’s and plays its games on a Sunday morning.
